Hide Contents of A Folder From Vista Indexer:

Searching in vista is really simple and fast, this indexer keeps track of all files on your harddrive, but if you want some files to be hidden from indexer this trick will work
to do so Just add .{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683} next to the folder name to
make it and its contents invisible for indexer, searcher.

Example:
Renaming folder cool to cool.{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683} will make folder cool and its contents hidden from Indexed search.

For Better hidden folder, make the folder hidden with system attribute

Follow steps below

1\open command prompt, by typing cmd on vista start search and hit enter.

2\assuming that your folder is in C drive, type cd\

3\now to make a folder named cool to be hidden with system attribute type

attrib +s +h +a cool.{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}

This above command should make a folder named cool hidden with system attribute.

to make the folder visible again type

attrib -s -h -a cool.{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}
